you mustn't be afraid to dream bigger darling

TOP 10 FILMS OF THE YEAR

1.The Social Network-i cannot stop watching this film-yes i fall at the feet of anything aaron Sorkin writes but i love this film-beautiful and poignant! Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake give wonderful performances-and that opening scene is epic ( as epic as any dialogue heavy scene i have seen! kudos to Sorkin, Eisenberg and Rooney mara, and Fincher for that scene-beautiful!)

2. Inception- just wow- mind bending, action packed, star studded-Nolan is a genius-Dicaprio, Gordon-Levit, Page, Caine, Murphy, Wantanbe, Cotillard, Berenger and Rao all do tremendous work but the film is stolen by Tom Hardy, who is just wonderful as Eames! Was my favourite film till i saw The Social Network

3.Scott Pilgrim vs the World- i'm not going to lie, i am an edgar wright fangirl! So it comes as no surprise that i love this film! I am a fan of the comic books by Bryan Lee O'Malley so was pumped for this film! Mixing comic books, video games, music and action into such an epic of epic epicness was just phenomenal! Michael Cera is perfect as Scott, Kieran Culkan as his gay roomate Wallace Wells steals the show as does Chris Evans as evil ex-boyfriend Lucas Lee-but everyone is great-love love this film

4. In the loop- Armando Ianucci wrote the hit tv satire The Thick of It about british politics and in the loop takes that scenario to the big screen- hilarious and informative-In the Loop , like the Thick of It is made by great writing and the character of Malcolm Tucker! Peter Capaldi is amazing as Tucker!

5.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1-fan of the book fan of the movies, am so dying to see the last film-darker and more gripping-bring on Voldermort and the battle at Hogwarts!

6. Fantastic Mr Fox- released in Australia earlier this year, Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox is emotional, funny, fantastical and just god damn moving! It really is..fantastic!

7.Animal Kingdom- Great Aussie film-Jacki Weaver totally deserves an Oscar for her role as Grandma Smurf. Ben Mendhlson, Joel Edgartan, Guy Pearce, Sullivan Stapleton, Luke Ford and new comer James Frecheville give stellar performances in this Macbethian, pulp fictionist Aussie Drama that is both gripping and disturbing great Aussie film!

8. The Kings Speech-WOW, what can i say, this film was very close to being my number 1-saw it on wednesday. If Colin Firth does not win an Oscar for this film, i will be shocked i say, shocked! Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helen Bonham Carter give outstanding performances! One of the best films of the year

9.TRON: LEGACY- Ok, its nerdy, yes the plot leaves a bit to be desired, and yes Jeff Bridges is laying the Dude, but i loved every minute of Tron. Michael Sheen steals the show, but the graphics, the Daft Punk Sound track, the action and an awesome cast wins over the film for me. Plot scmot, the first tron was about the graphics, as is this. Epic in 3D!
